<p>New York’s Fifth Avenue Maison, will showcase a display of pre-historic meets modern-day fashion.</p>
<p>This summer, Fifth Avenue will be roaming with a different kind of tourist, dinosaurs. Although, it’s not quite the correct era or habitat, Louis Vuitton commemorates history in a chic way by bringing an unlikely predator back to life.</p>
<p>The museum worthy handbags will be debuted atop teal and gold dinosaur skeleton window displays. Inspired by a visit to the Natural History Museum in Paris, Vuitton decks these reptilian skeletons with the finest accessories of this age.</p>
<p>These window displays are a stunning contradiction of natural history and man made art, giving the Pre-Fall 2013 collection a timeless essence. Personally, we love Vuitton’s creative vision and use of ancient architectural structure to showcase his iconic handbags.</p>

<p>Notable faces such as Mary Kate Olsen, Padma Lakshmi joined forces to raise funds for the New York Academy of Art. Hosting its 20th annual auction, the NYAA invited the city&#8217;s elite to Sotheby&#8217;s, where all bid for pieces of art, nudes to be exact.   The Take Home a Nude benefit gave many an opportunity for guests to appreciate the bare human form. Padma Lakshmi admitted &#8220;The human form specifically, the female form, is one of the most beautiful organic shapes in nature.&#8221; <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Garamond, serif; font-size: small;">The presence of the night&#8217;s honorees and modern masters of the subject,  John Richardson and Jenny Saville helped to draw in more celebrities such as Angela Bassett and Fabiola Beracasa. The event raised nearly $800,000 for the school. </span></p>

Not to be outdone, this year&#8217;s theme of &#8220;Oh Jack&#8221; definitely caught our eye. Think: Whitechapel, London 1888 with Jack the Ripper. Victorian and Steampunk. The party takes place at the Dream Hotel South Beach with the big debut of DJ Penguin Prison featuring drink specials and eye candy galore. Aside from watching the fashion, attendees were able to take a little home as well. The penthouse of the venue boasted exclusive pop boutiques and a juicy silent auction, the mid level hosted a VIP guest cocktail and hors d&#8217;oeuvres lounge and the first level held a candy bar, gourmet cupcakes (did you try the dulce de leche?!)  and of course the hot model cast. Guess which floor we were on?</p>
<p>But we digress, because the best part of Fashion for Charity was not it&#8217;s focus on fashion, but rather it&#8217;s emphasis on giving back. All proceeds from the event benefitted <a href="http://www.projectstartoffsmart.com/" target="_blank">Project Start Off Smart</a> and <a href="http://www.theedgeeducation.com/" target="_blank">The EDGE Foundation</a>. Two charities dedicated to rescuing victims of human trafficking and teaching them the importance of social responsibility.</p>
<p>Over 700 people were in attendance, including Academy Award winning actress and  the Real Housewives of Miami&#8217;s Adriana Barraza. We all sipped, mingled and put our best foot forward to support a very worthy cause.</p>
<p>It was the best night that we have had in a while!<br />
Not mention that we were the ones who organized it. <img src='http://www.brand-collective.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>

<p>A look that we <em>would</em> <em>kill</em> to have in our closet.</p>
<p>No seriously.</p>
<p>But on a happier note, Della Russo has been involved in tons of projects as of late. One of which includes a position as editor at large for Macy&#8217;s in house fashion line, INC.  Consulting with designers, styling the campaign and even starring in the ads alongside the likes of Karolina Kurkova, it&#8217;s clear that  her creative genius knows no bounds.</p>

<p>We were intrigued by their guarantee, and so, we decided to try it for ourselves. Wrapped in pretty packaging (because <em>thats</em> what really counts) and available in fun flavors like Lullaby Lemon and Snoozeberry, the drinks were as tasty as they were effective. Taken 30 minutes prior to sleeping, we felt relaxed, at ease and slept like a baby for a solid 8 hours. Congrats, Dreamwater, we award you with a well deserved seal of approval from the Brand Collective girls. Our under eye bags thank you.</p>

<p>With September around the corner, we are ecstatic for new weather, experimenting with new fall fashion trends and, of course, all of our upcoming projects. That&#8217;s right, aside from being beauty junkies and fashion fiends, we also work and we get the job done.</p>
<p>In fact, we just moved into a new office space. One that is redecorated to suit all of your marketing and design needs. Wink. Wink.</p>
<p>But back to the real issue at hand. When it came time for new office supplies, we all agreed that finding good office tools is a very personal thing. Are you reluctant to lend out your favorite pen in case it never comes back to you? Do you get excited at the sight of sticky notes in new color schemes? Do you like splurging on your day planner? Actually do you have a cool day planner? Mhm.<br />
That&#8217;s what we thought. You use them everyday, so it has to be something unique, cool and functional. Here&#8217;s a few of our suggestions.</p>
